Just wondering if anything's anybodys tried has gotten this game working yet. I've done some searching but it doesn't seem like it. What about just the regular Metal Gear Solid 2?

    Thanks

Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance is DVD9. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty is DVD5, but has save problems.

yeah, it (MGS2:S) works with the dvd9 to dvd5 method (also works for Xenosaga Ep1) the only thin that doesn't work is skateboarding (IRX problems...)

Sorry to bring up the dead, but...

The 'flattened' MGS2: Substance is supposed to be around 2GB, right?

Seems a little low but the way I did it that's what it came out to be.

edit: yeah I didn't do this correctly at all, BSOD and I think it's supposed to be around 6GB.

Anyone know where to get a copy of Apache 1.1

Yep the flattened version of MGS2 Substance should be the same size as the regular version; about 5-6 gig i think. However, if you use HDLoader with the latest patch (0.7c) then you can transfer the disc image without the need for flattening the image. I used Winhiip to then transfer it across and have since played the game through to completion without any problems. I Should add though that the skateboarding extra still doesn't work.
