Does this need some kind of dnas or IOP patch? I can't get it to work with HDL(but it worked in USBAdvanced...)

There has been no reports from anyone about this game as yet, only the Melty Blood Act Cadenza was reported and that one works fine as is in HDL.

You can try some Mode combinations first, to see if any of those help. Then move onto some patch tricks if its still not working.

I don't have HDL as my PS2 is a slimline, but MBAA works on USBAdvance for you?! Did you apply any specific patches?

I do know that there isn't a need to patch DNAS as this game does not have LAN support(Thus no DNAS files).
Also, since this game works in USBAdvance for you, quite likely it won't need to be IOPRP patched either.

Some tips(That I heard that helps to run incompatible games on HDL):

    1. Run it in dev. mode 3 (The mode that unloads HDL after game load; I think that it's mode 3 though)
    2. Run it under MDMA mode-2 (Or any mode that transfers data around the PS2' DVD drive's speed of 5540KB/s)

If it works on USBAdvance then it would quite likely work on HDL. What version of HDL are you using?

Funny...I think that I tried MBAA on USBAdvance 2 months ago (In August when it was released), but it won't load(Black screen).

I think that I'll try again... hopefully this won't end up like MBAC that won't work on USBAdvance.

    Hi,

i don't know you people about what are you talking, Melty Blood Actress Again
    runs perfectly with Hdloader.

Tested and played myself with HdLoader 0.8c no modes, in a
    Pal V3 console.

    Fantastic game.

    Regards.

I dont have this game myself, so maybe you could be kind enough to explain to others what app you used to rip the game and how you installed it to the PS2 HDD.

It might be they are using the wrong apps.

    Hi,

yes, off course, for be sure the games install well i make always
an iso image from de disc with ultraiso, and i rebuild it with
the cddvd-rom generator, this last program never fails.

Installed with HdlDump Helper GUI v2.2.

    Regards.

Hmm, I have been using InfraRecorder, worked on all games but this one. On USBAdvance, I used that USBUtil thing and enabled both patches and transfered and it worked... I get pink screen on HDL .8c using all sorts of modes :/

I install using the latest WinHIIP.

DVD Decrypter or IMGBurn are the best tools for ripping an ISO from your disc. Then use Winhiip to install those ISOs.
