i get the game yesterday and try to play from hard disk but cant

works fine for me, mode3 enabled. i'm already at chapter 8 right now, so up till then its working fine. you just can't die, or quit back to title. the game resets everything so when you do either, the ps2 tries to access the disc again, instead of the hdd.

According to that statement I guess that one should refrain from switching to the title screen (and dying of course), right?

I have both the Japanese and English and no modes were required for me to play the game. HDL 0.8b

likewise sept used c in place of b. Haven’t tried dieing or switching to title screen though.


Edit: I just tried exiting to the title screen and continues to work fine. Therefore the game works perfectly

Actually I found a bug in the US version. In the bonus dungeon there is a high chance when you encounter a normal monster battle that the game will do a hard freeze and you will need to restart the HDLoader and PS2. Boss battles in the bonus dungeon are not affected by this. I tried several modes and it still will do a hard lock. This is most likely due to the dual language support given for the US release as it does not occur in the Japanese version.
