Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+

Hi guys,

So I saw all the incompatibility issues with KH2 on the SKSApps compatibility list and I was thinking of ways around it when I found Xeeynamo's English Patch for Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+, the Japanese release for Kingdom Hearts 2 with extra content and a PS2 remake of Chain of Memories. The patch translates close to everything and I was getting excited to set this up when I noticed that KH2:FM is not on the compatibility list. Has anyone tried this game or the English patched version of the game on HDLoader? As a side note does Xeeynamo's patcher translate the second disc (Re:Chain of Memories) as well?

The game is compatible but you get a black screen when you try and load a gummi ship mission. Even if you use Xeeynamo's english patch, it doesn't change the fact that the game won't let you play gummi ship missions. If you know how to edit your own version of OPL you can do this (Kingdom Hearts 2 FM+ w/ OPL Rev 590 + Internal HDD) and make a version of OPL that lets you play the gummi ship missions. Xeeynamo's patcher does nothing for the second disc, it seems that an english patch for that game would be useless because it has its own english release. Hope this helps.

Ok first KH2FM eng will probably not work with HDloader just like KH2 for the gummi missions
With the code I posted all over the forum for fix in OPL revision it do's work but only tested from Internal HD of PS2
and the English patch only translates the FM not CoM

Look with google and try out most recent if over SMB
if using Internal HD look with search and find my tweek and compile with it

So if KH2FMeng is going to have the same incompatibility issues as KH2, is the extra content worth buying a new japanese copy and dealing with the infrequent translation issue? Also, I have come across the OPL option but I remember reading that there were sound issues or that the video would be messed up. From what I read, people play KH2 on HDLoader until they need to do a Gummi mission, save, switch to OPL, play the Gummi mission, save, switch back to HDLoader and continue playing. I also remember someone saying if you do this you can hdl_dump the game with no patches or modes. Is all that true?

Finally, I am struggling to get hdl_dump to work over LAN to efficiently test games so if someone can help me with that please pm me as I can not link to my email without 30 posts and 30 days.

With the english patch and the change to OPL source that I have posted numerous times and most recent Revision
I have went from beginning to end with this game so IF your ISO is correct this works perfectlly but you do have to know how to change
patch.c in source and yes I have suggested to add it but not tested with SMB and USB so may have trouble for them

and about PM you need 30 posts for anyone to PM you but could post on visitor Message
hdl_dump is for transferring games to internal HD not to play game SMB is used in that for OPL

Well he is trying to play it with HDloader or OPL and both have issues with the game in most recent with a tweek I have posted like 5 different locations it will work
BTW he can not PM you you and he do not have enough posts for PM to work

? and it has no issues when you go to gummi missions at all with ESR not FMCB

i just got into this and wanted to play kh2fm and im having the same issue. i used the new revision and everything. i am looking for help to compile a new patch.c or .elf for opl so i can play this game. any help would be greatly appreciated!!
