Killzone NTSC/USA

Hi guys,

i don't want to bother to much but i gave up trying with this game. Everywere it's reported to be working but i used an original copy and 2 downloaded versions and none of them works.

I have a V6 with Matrix Infinity 1.5, Maxtor 80 Gb 7200 RPM and HDLoader updated with 0.7c (N /C /V /F /L /IS hdsplash_small.bmp /IM hdmain_small.bmp /IT texts_new_options.txt) booting from Memory Card

I've tryed with a direct copy from the DVD and WinHIIP. Activated Mode 1, 3 and both (wich, with the new menus are "Kill HDL after launch" and "Slow HDD access") and even tryed "Disable network support" + "Disable UAB patch".

Sometimes the game boots, shows the intro video... really fast and not in sync and then freezes to the KILLZONE logo.

I'll try to get a PAL version to test it but please, let me know if you have the same problem.

CrazyC, Zer0-X, if this game needs a fix i hope you can help... like always... and take your time.

Must be something wrong with your set-up, i had no problems with the NTSC version when i tested it with which ever version of HDLoader was around at the time of the games release last year.

Thanks for the quick reply TL0. I'll try the standard version of HDL without patches and see what's going on. Btw, the dled version i'v tryed is the ECHELON one.

well the dvd version that i had worked fine i had nothing wrong with the game u should just try mode 3 alone if it still dont work....then i dont know what is up with ur setup... it should work fine with mode 3

Ok, here i'm again. I didn't noticed that my firmware version was 1.46 and not 1.50 as i tought. Btw, the matrix team just released 1.54 and i installed it right away... Now the game works perfectly with Mode 3 and from DVD so it was a bug of the Chip.

Hello all,

I installed the killzone into my ps2 v1 using HDLoder. but when i select to play on the hdloader menu. it get me a black screen. all of my other game in the hdd work fine. Do i need a patch for it to work or in some kind of mode? please help...thanks in advance.

Enable mode 3 aka Kill HDL after launch.
