Hi all! I created this thread because I cant load more than 255 games in one hdd using HDloader 0.8c..... I think that error ocurred because when you format the hdd using winhiip or other the program says [DriveX: "xxxGB" ("xxxxxxx cyl" "255trk" "xxxsec")] I think that "255trk" are the "protection" prevent that hdloader cant load more than 255 games but I dont know.... however this programs are created to enter games on hdd and I think if the hdloader dont have this protection for why reason this program created them?? .... Really I dont know anybody have any idea?? THX All!

Just curious, is that a hardware or software limitation?

software limitation that hasn't been removed with the exception of toxic os. and no, toxic os does not run without a DMS4 pro mod chip. and no, the source for HDL is not available. and no, it hasn't been removed by hacks yet.

Since it is a commercial product, that is most likely never going to happen.

I don't think you understood me correctly.

The people who made this product did so in order to earn money from it, and nothing else.
They are not going to give away the source code to anyone, regardless of legal issues.
The only way to get it would be to pay a handsome price for it, which is not going to happen.

The only other possibility is if Sjeep (who created HDLoader) had a total change of heart and decided to go back to being a PS2 freeware homebrewer again. But much as I would like to think that possible, I simply cannot see this happening in reality.

    Best regards: dlanor
