How do I make my own patch for a game?

I'm interested in patching some games that don't work on my hdd...Thegame I want to try on is test drive eod...I don't know how you do it but I think I'll need to open the slus with hex edit...but I have no clue what to look for....thank in advance

if i knew,i wouldnt be begging for midnight club 3 to work with music.

have you went and reviewed any of the tuts at ps2-hd. They looked for certain irx files which would load, while hdloader has the same irx files which are the same name but help it load under the hd, while the original irx file inside the game causes the game to load from the dvd disc. You have to know how hdloader works before you can make a patch for a game and start hex editting the game's iso.
