HDL Modes And when to use them

Using WinHIIP_V1.7.6 to load games onto a maxtor 80gb - just started using HDL 8c - works so far. Newbie to HDL question tho - What do the modes do and how do you know when to use them? Also is there an up to date list of games compatability somewhere? - looked everywhere links are either dead or lists are very old. A simple text file would be great. Th for any help.

Hi jimd!
The modes were introduced to improve the compatibility of HDLoader. Most games doesn't need any of them but with some you have to set them in order to play the game from hdd. Here is a nice list where one can search for games and it'll return the modes you'll have to set when you got problems running from hdd.
