Hey all. I wanted to start this game over from the start again but on the hdd this time. For some reason the game locks up when I go to save my progress. I've done searches but only have found that others have encountered it too sometimes. I am running hd loader 7.c and i have installed the game using the hd loader and using winhiip + dvd decryptor. No modes yet. Any suggestions?

I've seen some posts on other forums talking about using official sony mem cards but this doesn't seem to help either.

Ive heard the same but it doenst matter what 'card' you use.. Ive restarted Vice City just the other day and had to use the unpatched original HDLoader.. Worked fine that way...

I saved the game once with the original disc. Then I used this first savegame in the HDD version of the game and it worked just fine.
I think you can also make multiple saves with the original first and then use these slots with the HDD game.

This sounds good. I'll give it a try tonight after the kids go to bed. Thanks all.

I tried the same hd in two different ps2s (different version ps2s) and it froze when trying to load/save with the older ps2 but not with the newer one.
