ChiCubs05- I'm not sure where you've been the past few months, but you don't need to patch the game with HDL 0.7c. Thanks for tryin' though.
I found out what the problem was. There's a bug in hdl_dumb 0.8.2 that prevents DVD9 images from transferring properly. You have to either use hdl_dumb 0.8.1, or use hdl_dumP 0.8.2.

You have to patch it/convert it to DVD5 if you want to burn a copy of it.
However if you just want to put it on HDLoader you don't need to patch it at all.

you can play this game by installing a dvd9 image dumped with dvddecrypter. if you're running hdl 0.7c with the 'old style' patch.
if you read the txt included with hdl patch, you'll see that the default 'new' type of dvd9 patch is for MGSII. i'm not exactly sure if GOW will work with the newer dvd9 patch only becuz i played and finished the game when the 'old' patch was the only patch
. i removed that bulky bastard once i was bored with it.
so try patching your hdl with hdlpatch 0.7c with the commandline option '/C?'
or use my gui version and check 'old style dvd9 fix' under the compatibility tab.
