Yeah, this game is getting high reviews. All of them (the one I checked, anyway) say it's one of, with some even saying it is, the best PS2 action game of all time.
BTW, do you guys think they're using a similar method used by Polyphony Digital in GT4?

I wonder if anyone has tried installing this game properly yet. I.e. flattening it to DVD5, then copying it to the HDD. Of course it's not going to work if you just rip it and copy ISO to a HDD, or let HDLoader rip it itself (it would only rip layer 1)

If it is a DVD9 then it would of been smart of Sony to put in the same protection as GT4 or at least a variation of it.

Damn do you think there will be a fix for this because I ordered the USA version yesterday and I have a PAL PS2 so the only way for me to play it is from the HDD

Have you tried to patch the ioprp file with console media patcher 1.1 and then build the single layer iso? this patcher can remove the dvd9 check from some of those dvd9 games, maybe it works with this one too.
