Where can I find this app? I can't seem to locate it.

    Thanks.

Great question. I think its a fantastic idea. I'm mostly a noob on this board, so I'm not familiar with how its regulated. It would be cool to have a list of shrinkable games centralized somewhere along with an IML/IMS or filelist.txt. I'd be happy to write a FAQ if this could be arranged...

    Peace.

I've used Excel to sort the Isobuster filelist.txt by LBA# so that it can be quickly imported into CDGENPS2. Seems to work well. I haven't looked for the helper app yet, but if I find it, I'll hollar.

By the way, I've shrunk and tested the following...
    -GTA III- 2.39GB from 4.32GB
    -Hitman: Contracts- 2.62GB from 4.05GB
    -Silent Hill 4- 3.17GB from 3.66GB
-Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance- 2.85GB from 4.36GB

I've got plenty more to test and I'm trying to find ways to streamline the operation at the same time. On that note, does anyone know if there is active support for CDGENPS2? An email address perhaps?

    Peace.

Have you run across any games you couldn't do yet?

I found cddvd helper but it didn't fix the issues I am having with ATV Offroad Fury II. I have tried CDGENPS2, CD/DVD Generator, and Nero. They all produce the same results. The Game starts, I get a quick flicker and then nothing. I ran a DVD Rip Kit on the ISO and that works, 650MB but it has the music and movies removed. The ripkit has a ppf patch. I'm not sure what it does. Anyways I haven't moved on from this game yet. It's getting a bit frustrating.

I haven't tried importing the LBA into CDGENPS2 so I'm going to give that a shot. Cddvd helper worked good at rearanging the .ccz file based on LBA. I thought that one was going to work for sure.

    later..

I just realized what you guys mean by sort the list. ISO buster filelist.txt isn't sorted.. that's probably my issue.. we will see. ray:

Yup, sure have. Can't say I put much time into any one game, but I haven't given up on them either.

    ATV Offroad Fury II
    Devil May Cry
    007: Everything or Nothing
    Manhunt

    Peace.

I have just about given up on ATV Offroad Fury II, I think I have tried just about everything (within my abilities, thats not saying much ) . I think I might just stick to the RIP Kit on that one and move on.

    Thanks.

Question: Can you run the compressed images on the PS2 via DVD, or do they have to be run from a harddisk?

I think they would work from a DVD. A couple games on one DVD?

May I ask why you would want to?

Anywho... I'm sure they would, however my guess is still that the reason the blank space exists on the original disc is for a more pleasurable gaming experience due to faster transfer rates from the outside of the disc. If you try it, you may be disappointed with the result (especially considering the decrease in performance you'll get from a DVD-R versus a silver stamped disc).

    Peace.

Just finished shrinking DefJam: Fight For NY sucessfully. It went from 4.37gig to 3.01gig and works great in my harddrive. Considering I have the offical Sony 40gig drive, I need all the space I can get! Thanks guys for the tips.

One question though... Not all games have empty space on the disks correct? I have tried Burnout 3, MVP Baseball 2004 and Madden 2005 and none seemed to have shrunk when I copied the files from the disc to my computer.

Another question: How can you tell whether a file is a dummy or not? As stated earlier in Tiger Woods 2005, the dummy file is named differently... Any insight?
