To my knowledge, if you have the Hard Drive installed, ESPN NFL2k5 will show actual clips from the games during the half-time show, as opposed to stills. I hear the hard drive turn on when the game starts, but, none of the extras its supposed to have when the hard drive is installed will work. I have a crystal chip, and have the Auto ATAD patcher on. Anyone with this game able to get it to recognize the hard drive?

Unfortunately, the ESPN extras such as the highlights only work with the official Sony HD.

You can patch the game to play properly. The Crystal Chip has some ATAD patching bugs depending on which version Bootmanager you are using.

If it's the ppf patch that's floating around, my impression from the nfo and another thread was its purpose was to get the game to work on the HD, as the retail copy won't work by itself. I've also seen a couple people saying after patching the HD features still didn't work.

Can't comment on the crystal chip as I don't have a chip, but that would be a pretty nice feature to have. It seems more and more games are taking advantage of HD capabilities.
