I followed the steps above on building an iso. i sucessfully rebuilt an iso although when i chose the no fix lba on cdgenps2, it did no correct the freezing problem in the game. i tried the first option, and now winhiip tells me i dont have enough space to install this game which is under 8 gb when i have 14 gb in free space.
dual layer games are strange. for some reason they need continuous unfragmented hard drive space to be installed on for them to work correctly.
you'll need to delete games around the unfragmented section or backup your entire hard drive and format and reinstall everything.
I agree. One time I had to free more than 20 Gb to install a 6 gb game. I think the space allocated for each game (aka partition) must be contiguous.
I followed all directions on how to rebuild the iso for rockband 2 and it still freezes.
1. I extracted the files using apache 3
2. I moved the Gen files from the 2nd layer into the Gen folder on the first.
3. I saved the tree file with isobuster
4, edited it, adding the ark 3 4 and 5 files, using the lba that is stated in apache 3
5. loaded the tree file into cdgenps2, using lba no fix option, then created the iso. 6. check disable dvd 9 in hdloader.
i try my own worst enemy as my first song and it always freezes. I use hdloader 0.8c
works fine here with those instructions. and enable modes 1,2,3.

Ok, this method is not working on every song. I must of made an iso over fifteen times with various methods. The lba gets changed when it is moved into cdgenps2 anyway so it prolly dont matter what the tree file says. I have followed directions to the tee and still no results. is everyone that got it working playing songs like Today, My own worst enemy or Man in the box? Can someone give me directions on how to do the complete iso building in detail cause I am really lost. I have been trying to get this to work for a week and cannot enjoy my other video games when i am worried abnout this one. Please................:cry:

for Rock Band 2 to turn the dual layer ISO into a single layer. The information about offsets from Apache was a bit off, I thought, so I'll just post the output below. Paste it into a text file and use that in CDGenPS2. Verify your image by opening it with Apache or ISObuster to see that it's single layer. Load into HDLoader 0.8c with Mode 2 on. Working!
You just move the 345.ark files into /gen and change the offsets, then make a new ISO

still crashes with this method. are any of you guys trying to play the songs on the second layer?
I've played dozens and dozens of songs without problems, but I don't know exactly which are on which layer. If you have a specific song please post
Ok, this is what I do to create the iso for Rockband 2
I copy the ISO with dvd decrypter, I open apache 3, i extract to desktop.
I moved the ark files from the second layer into the gen folder on the first layer. I extract the tree file using isobuster, i even used your tree file for it. i open cdgenps2 and import the tree file. if i use lba no fix, it sets it's own lba. i use the first option which keeps the lba as the tree file is set. i have tried both methods without sucession. then i create the iso. i load it into hdloader via winhiip. mode 2 is turned on. still no work. songs like my own worst enemy, man in the box and today do not play for me.
