Dance Dance Revolution X2 - Freeze when selecting 'Dice Master' mode

Using NTSC version of the game with HDL 0.8c, whenever I select Dice Master mode from the main menu, I get a screen explaining what the mode is, and then the system locks up.

Tried all the common patch modes in HDL, but still no solution. Any chance someone else could test it out, so we can get this working? Thanks.
