Creating game patches for HDL
Look at ps2 hd website, they have a tutorial about how to make patches for games. The one they show how to fix is Kuon.
yea I've read that before although that only seems to tell you how to fix games with the cdvdman problem (which are probs fixed with hdl now anyways) and it doesn't tell you why you're patching the cdvdman bit, in other words I wanna be able to find out what's making certain games not work not just know how to patch some games
Well i'm not really sure either. I really want to get monkeyball working too, so good luck! And let us know if you do
also, i would find it interesting to have examples on why which patch work.
the twinsanity patch removes a stack problem between twinsanity and hdl (as far as i understood it).
it would be even more interesting to learn how this was discovered....*g*
wipey, how's the progress? I'm dying to finally play this game.
I never played it, my laser doesn't read DVDs anymore, so it looks like I will never play the game and that would be a goddamn shame.
We're all praying for you to hopefully fix this somehow!
lol sorry I haven't even attempted, sure I've dissassembled super monkey ball but and had a look around, but since I haven't a clue what I'm looking for I have no chance in fixing it, shame there's no better tutorials on this sort of thing
well, I'm sorry to hear that, but I was also hoping that someone like crazyc as you mentioned in your opening post would maybe read the thread.
I tried a few things too, but I don't know what's wrong.
I read it works on ToxicOS, but is there a chance to get that to work with DMS3?
hum so maybe if we figure out the difference between toxicos and hdloader we could get this thing working?
what exactly is toxicos anyway, is it just a modified version of hdloader, and why does it only run on dms4?
