works on HDL 0.8b with no modes but switching to progressive makes the game hang?
Works! I enabled Mode 3 from the beginning since all other versions need that.
I also shrunk it the Unix way (re-layout image with mkisofs) which makes
it about 1.7G instead of 3G.
Have fun.
EDIT: erm, tested with hdl 0.8b
Some people have confirmed it working with .8b....
weird... when i switch to progressive i get black screen and the game locks up
keep in mind i can see other games in progressive....
anyone else having this problem?
same problem here buvk
burnout 3 and revenge work fine
I jumped on to post the same thing
I hope its not a bug in the game, looks like yes at this point
what is the size of the game supposed to be?
This is odd, so i got the game, made the iso image so i could shrink, and it doesnt work... the new image is about 1.7gb. at first when making the image i get an error about some file and the image fails to finish. the size was about firght so i put it on the hdd, and i get a pink screen of death. so i tried to make the image with roxio cd creator. it made the image, with no problem, and it loads up. but when i try to get progressive scan i get a black screen and it hangs.
i think ill just try the original image (4gb) and hope it gives me progresive scan. i did play the game off the disk and its great!
in one review they mention that dominator doesn't support 480p
which one? IGN says:
Quote:
From a visual standpoint, Dominator largely looks exactly the same as Burnout Revenge. All of the tracks and most of the cars are brand-new, but from a purely technical perspective it's virtually identical. That's great as Revenge is one of the better looking games on the system, but there is an odd bit about the perspective in that it doesn't seem ideally suited to either 4:3 or 16:9 displays, but rather somewhere in-between. The icon circles for things like the music overlay, button icons and those sorts of things look more at-home when played in widescreen, but the cars look way too stretched this way. Swapping the system between 4:3 and 16:9 and turning progressive scan support on and off seems to have no change.

The absence of 480p support hampers the visuals in Dominator, as background objects look a bit grainy, especially on a TV larger than 40 inches.
