    Help!

My new IBM 120GB killed by the HDLoader 0.4
    Model: IC35L120AVV207-1

It is new HDD for only one month

Previously I use the HDLoader Clean version 0.1 is working fine. but once I put the 0.4 to my PS2 to boot.....
the HDD has a lot of "Click sound" and said that "No HDD found", and then become totally dead. (It cannot be detect in my PC as well)

My PS2 is: 50006 and is modded.

Now the HDD just has "Click...click ka..." sound when power up. (my PC & PS2 don't detect it)

    Pls help???

return the HDD, I dont think there's any way HD Loader can physically destroy a harddisk.
If that was the case, there'd probably be virii that could do the same to your PC HDD...

that is the only way to return the drive....

but it is weird... I use the 0.1 for a month...
but today just use the 0.4 and want to see what is new. I don't believe that software can kill the hardware. I believe the worse case is re-format the partition only...

but the fact is my HDD no longer be detected.

I've seen way too many IBM's doing the clickety-click in my time. New drives failing just after one months usage. (Not to say one 120GB Samsung that f**ked up just after one week. Good thing I had only backed up some data into it.)

But HDD killed by a software would be the first. Tho doable but certainly not accidentially.

Sounds like a IBM Deathstar click to me. I had a 40GB WD in my playstation right out of the package that gave up after use for just 1.5 weeks.

OK guys, I will return my drive for a RMA...

But is there any good choice for a PS2 HDD?
    Maxtor / Seagate ? 7200rpm ? ATA133 ?

80gb 7200rpm Seagate here works without any problems.. I bought it 2 weeks after free hdloader was released and I install/reinstall games anytime without problems...
But remember.. DONT USE IN ANY CIRCUNSTANCE Sony Official HDD Utility 1.0 to Repair/Look For problems in your disk.. SOME GAMES MAY GET CORRUPTED (I lost 4 games).
