That doesn't mean anything GTA:SA was annonced that it was going to be on a DVD9 but when it was released it was DVD5

Yeah but this is supposedly from Kazunori Yamauchi himself and he specifically said 9GB+, so I'd believe it this time... and this was said after the game went gold just a couple of days ago.

9GB+ would mean it would come on either 1 DVD9 and 1 DVD5 or 2 DVD9's since DVD9 can only hold around 8GB of data.

    4.7 + 4.7=9.4

The game makes use of a dual layered DVD, totaling, Yamauchi revealed, over nine gigabytes of data.

Correct if the binary system where 1024 bytes = one kilobyte is used but marketing ploys are used such as the decimal 10 system of 1000 bytes = one kilobyte.

The 4.7 GB stated in Single Layer DVDs is counted using the decimal system and in binary (PCs only know binary) its roughly 4.37 GB.

The same is done for hard drives, 200GB (using the base 10 formula) HDs are actually 189GB in binary and 120GB HDs are 111GB in binary.

Now, a Dual Layer DVD is marketed as having 8,5GB capacity (not even 9.4GB as you seem to state accord 4 me) but in binary is actually around 8GB due to the 8.5GB being false since its counted in decimal and also the second layer of a Dual Layer DVD holds LESS information than the first layer since the pits/grooves are larger on the second layer so the data on the second layer is easier to read.

    Hope this clears things up.

Then they made a mistake or Kazunori Yamauchi has no clue what he's saying... Because as Vegeta said a DVD9 only holds 8.5gigs so there is no WAY GT:4 is 9+gigs unless there are 2 discs! Don't beleave me or Vegeta about the size look HERE or if u beleave that site is wrong search google it's known everywhere that DVD9 is 8.5gigs

Yeah they most likely made some mistake, But It really seems the game will be dual layered since the news came up two days before it became gold.
