Winhiip PC HDD Recovery?
get something like partition magic that may help.
I've tried several recovery programs, but they all show cryptic results when they finally get to the viewing of the files. Maybe because they don't support the file system that my HDD has been converted to? (PS2)
You could as a last resort try quick formatting(NTSC) your drive from another computer and then use file recovery programs like recover my files, uneraser etc. It will eventually recover the files that are not overwritten. However you will need to reinstall the OS.
I've used Restorer 2000 before with pretty good results. Was able to recover all files that had not been overwritten on a drive with corrupted allocation table.
What I am afraid of is the fact that even if I format it into NTFS now (it's using the Linux partition now, as one program pointed out), that the files will still be garbled after. I think my only hope right now is to somehow re-load the list of games into WinHIIP and then delete all of them. That would hopefully nuke all of the Linux partitions it has made and maybe even change the FS back to NTFS?
I e-mailed Gadgetfreak, but from what I read on the official forum... he's in Africa right now. Who knows if he'll even GET my e-mail, let alone respond to it.
