will hdloader/advance work on version 4

Seems version 4 must be a hard model too mod as everyone i contacted says it best to buy another version and have it modded.

What i would like to know is as this ps2 has never been modded can i use hdloader/advance.

Do i have to do the slide trip to get the hdlaoder to work on this unmodded ps2 or is that just for the backups/imports.

the haloader i speaking of is the pressed one not a hack.

card would only be needed for backups ... furthermore, you could install backups with winhiip by placing the drive in your pc

i'm using hdloader on my v4, but i have a no solder mod.... everything works perfectly for me though

Hehe, these installers that only like easy versions eh. If you wish to go with a modchip solution keep trying installers, there are plenty around that can actually solder.

Thanks i would really like to get it modded also but the harddrive part is an extra bonus.
I have an xbox modded and love the hdrive features.

I had my v4 chip-ped with a Matrix 2 for over a year now and it works great. Although, I mostly try to use hdloader but the new games out now seem to not work with it so I am back to using the cd/dvd drive.
