why cant hdloader or dms hdd format.format my hdd

i think my mistake was making my hdd ps2 compatable with hd loader useing winhiip to format it while my adaptor was on order. all went well i installed games and it worked as soon as i poped my hdd in to my ps2. untill i tryed to delete a game and it went daft and wouldnt boot without formating so i tryed to format and all i got was a error (affter about 15 mins). so i tryed dms format and that says its formated but it errors trying to put files on the hdd
and dont format and the same happend with my other hdd. now none of my hdd work cant be formated in ps2 or pc what can i do.

try this, try to get winhiip to format it, if it doesn't work, just format the drive using Windows, and then use winhiip again

Well, you can always try this neat little ap. I used it to format my HD when every thing went to hell.

It will take you straight to the Download. Now, you can make it a bootable CD, if you can boot cd'rs. Or, if you have your ps2 hooked up to your comp via a roughter, you can use inlink to send the elf to the ps2 and run it there. If you don't feel like doing that, take the hd out of the ps2, format it in windows, then put it back into ps2. I would sugest formating it with HD Advanced, for that is the loader you will most likey use, or us the other hd loader to format it. i hop i helped and didn't make it more confusing! you can e-mail me if you want help. chosenken(AT)gmail(DOT)com.
