I already asked this in another thread but haven't got a real answer yet, so I have to start a thread in order to find out what happened to HDL_Dumb ...

The CLI (command line interface) version of HDL_Dump 0.8.1 is already out and the well-known LordBoGaMi already released his GUI with support for new options, etc.

But users of the "classic" HDL_Dumb GUI (from the same author as HDL_Dump itself) are left outside in the cold. I guess I don't have to discuss the reasons I prefer HDL_Dumb over the LordBoGaMi GUI, I just don't need all the new features, the fancy look or a bloated installer. I want my simple and clean HDL_Dumb updated to match the version of the latest HDL_Dump CLI.

Someone stated that one could compile the source yourself, but unfortunately, I don't have the means, time or tools to do this. So if it's easy enough, someone should do this for us. I'm sure I'm not the only one requesting this ...

For reference, the official HDL_Dump/b page is hosted here: http://hdldump.psx-scene.com/

And as you can see, the HDL_Dumb Windows GUI for version 0.8.1 is still missing.

Actually, there is no big point for 0.8.1 GUI release. IMHO you'll miss additional compatibility flags and dual-layer compatibility only. 1st you can do from patched HD Loader itself, the second... well, there are only a handful of dual-layer games. I guess you can install those using command-line or a frontend.

I'd appreciate it if people could stop the confusion already. HDL_Dumb 0.8.1 GUI is not available from the official page; I have no idea where that screenshot comes from. Someone please clear things up, this is just annoying ...

You have already suggested that and I already replied that I don't have the time, means, tools or knowledge to do this. But if you imply that it's so easy, why don't you compile it for us and put it on the official HDL_Dump/b site so we can all download it?

Ah, and it's "compile" - not "complie" ... You repeated the mistake, so I guess it wasn't a typo.
