When ps2os meet corrupted hdd explorer.
When ps2os meet corrupted hdd explorer. –
My dms hdd explorer worked fine for around 2 weeks and I was so satisfied about it. When it happens, it happens, it totally corrupted today all in suddenly. All the folders in __boot partition was replaced by one HDADVANCE folder, and I can't write any thing to that partition anymore! So it will just boot with the application list but give me red screen for each.
What have I done? Just created hdadvance and hdloader folders and put both elf in them, both of them worked fine and I decided to remove the hdadvance folder since they worked identically. Today, I was possessed and just want to try the new patched hdadvance again, so I make the "hdadvance" folder again...and suddenly the above tragedy came up!
So I install the ps2os 0.2, and it seemed worked perfectly, I found the __boot partition in partition manager and there is a remove function, I click to confirm the removing and the orange flash light of ps2 blinked for around 20 second...I was sooooo happy! But after the hard work of my hdd...the __boot appeared again!!! What's this? A daemon? Infernal of Soul Calibur 2?
I mount the partition with ps2os and look into it, wow, there is countless "HDADVANCE" folders in the partition!!! I entered one of the HDADVANCE folder, and there is still countless HDADVANCE folder in it!!! What's Gxx Dxxx wrong with it? I never know a normal program could achieve this without the help of the virus! I still could re-install the hdd explorer successfully but it won't change anything. Still red screen for everthing as there is only hdadvance folders appeared.
I have to giveup hdd explorer, even I thought it was great.
Luckily the hdd format tool could still be launched from memory explorer thus faplink will not cause too much trouble for me. And now, we have LordBoGaMi's HDLD GUI which works perfectly for transfer games!
Thanks for your time, well enjoy your hdd explorer, I'm so jealous about it. But remember, never re-create the folder you've removed in it! It might be fine, but when it happens, it happens....thanks for your time and forgive my poor English. ray:
