Yeah, if you like doing it the hard way. You COULD just run the hdloader, select "convert", insert the offender as prompted, give it a name and 30 minutes later it's on the hdd, and YES, the read rate is about 200 times faster from the HDD than is possible from ANY optical disc, or as fast as the console will take it, actually, since at those kinds of rates, the hdd could easily play 10 games at once, if it was spliced into as many ps2's, somehow, and STILL each will load quicker than the original disc ever could. I saved $$ buying Maxtor 5500 rpm hdd's (120gb) with 2mb cache, and of course those would be a lot slower in your pc, than my Seagate 7500 rpm, 8mb 120gb, but in the ps2's, they perform identically, any hdd is a lot more than the ps2 needs, speed wise.
