what is mode #4 anyway?only 3 modes i know

Guys forgive my ignorance but i'm checking ps2world.it for Hd Loader Game Compatibility List and i've seen lots of mode #4.As far as i know there are 3 modes in Hdl Dump and WinHiip and there is no mode #4.What does that mean?

probably 1 and 3 enabled or something.
