it's a way to boot an elf file (renamed to boot.elf) on the ps2 mem card
wit that u do'nt hafta mod ur ps2 to boot a home brewed elf.
also u can boot it to a launcher (like launchelf) then boot tons of programs off of ur hdd or memcard or usb drive ^_^
