From what I know most maxator drives are compatible, search the forums and you will find all the info you need.
That HD should work. Make sure you have it formatted for 48-bit, or else you will only get around 127GB.
how do i format the drive for 48bit.
Is that done by using Winhiip??
Yes WinHIIP can format your PS2 HD for 48bit.
Ok, last question then.
My HDL freezes everytime i try to install the game from the PS2.
How do you guys install your games.
If you have a DVD drive in your computer, just create an ISO using DVD Decrypter (it's free) and then transfer them to your HDD using WinHIIP. Another option would be to transfer them via FTP by running a network cable from your PC to your PS2, again relying on a DVD drive in your computer.
I don't understand why it would freeze... but it doesn't ftp the iso... it transfers over network but it's not using ftp...
