I set up my friend with the exploit, HD loader, etc. After about 6 months of gaming and installing, deleting, etc, he started having problems playing some games. I used the scan drive feature on WINHIIP and noticed some parition errors (red X's showing up), I scan and repaired the drive. He was still having problems, so we did a complete format and reloaded the games from my HDD (which is working fine) on there. He is still having some problems with certain games loading up (that run fine on my PS2 and HDD) but others are fine. He has a Maxtor 120GB HDD, running HDLoader 0.8b. Any ideas on why this is happening?

If there is still bad sectors after reformatting with WinHiip., sounds like a failing hard drive. If the bad sectors seem to disappear, might be a failing Network Adapter is randomly marking bad sectors to the disk... but I'm not certain... KallaiR is right, you need to test his HDD using your NA.
