weird elf problems
:banghead:
so i came back yesterday, booted my ps2 in dev2 ( i m using dms hdd explorer) and i cant seem to boot my hdloader there. so its corrupted i said.oh before that, the specs of my ps2:
1. Matrix infinity 1.88
2. Maxtor 120gb
so no problems, i inserted a bootable launch elf cd, plugged my usb pen, i have the elf, there, just cut and paste it. no problems.like usual (i've done this a kajillion times.)
i rebooted this again, i launched hdloader 0.8b, BLACK SCREEN. i redo the process again. same result. then i took out the hdd, booted my pc, opened winhiip1.7.6 and full formatted my hdd. retried again...still black screen.damn.
then i tried to use ps2pfsExplorer, thied to replace the elf there..still the same thing..actually not hdloader having this problem, launchelf, codebreaker 9..same thing. so i experimented a bit by renaming the sms media to nes emulator and replaced the elf there..IT WORKED FLAWLESSLY.i got the hdloader elf from a forummer (senior) got the launchelf elf form a forum also (version 4.something) and the codebreaker from cryptbreaker..what the hell is going on?!!

i had once a similiar problem with ule.
i copied it with my usb stick to the memory card and after that it was corrupted, or maybe when i transfered it from my pc to the pen.
maybe this has something to do with your problem.
after i formatted the pen drive with fat or fat 16, everything seemed to work fine (but only for some time).

thanks man
i solved this one.
1. i reinstalled dms hdd explorer.
2. i got the elf else where, comapre the elf i got transfered, the size
is different, in a huge amount. so i know the elf i got is corrupted.
3. booted up launch elf cd (insted of using pfsps2explorer) and got myself another tumbdrive, i cut n pasted the elf.
works like a charm.hope this will help people with the same problem.
