want to install hdd. have no clue how... –
i have a ethernet adapter for a first gen fat ps2. i also have a 120gb maxtor hdd that is on the compatibility chart as working.
i would like to install the hdd and use it to play backed up games that i own, and i would like to use it as a big memory card to store gamesaves on.
is it possible to do the above?
i am also wondering if there is a type of exploit i could use to get the hdd set up to work. i have a disc and a psp so i can transfer files or gamesaves from my pc to the ps2.
how would i go about doing this?
its messing the way that needs to play backup like Modchip , Retail HDL/HDA to make an Exploit , Swap Magic ..
what do you mean make an exploit?
is it possible to do what i asked?
i have heard about hdloader and others like swapmagic, but i dont want to pay and wait for the disc. i would like to do a exploit. plz elaborate on how to. thanks for the fast reply.
also i found out that my ps2 is a version 7
well the PS2 it self cannot Read Backups it need a way to do that like Modchip Swap Magic ,Retail HDL/HDA ..
you also may take a look at Free Vast Thread
in that Guide you need a Retail Action Replay Max
i have that, im trying to get the id from the ff7 disc and it says "plz insert disc or check to see if its in the right drive", i selected e drive, and thats where the disc is, so what now?
EDIT: k i just used the 800 game title.db file and im trying to get the ps2 to recognize me usb thumb drive, cause i dont have my psp anymore. when i put in the drive, the psp symbol lights up, but when i click on it, it shows nothing. do i have to format it a certain way? if so how?
if i use winhiip to format the ps2 drive, can load the exploit file onto that instead? if so how can a do that?
just trying to list all the options, plz let me know if there is a way. thanks

ok, Action Replay is recognizing my thumb drive, but when i try to copy a file form the ps2 mem card, it says insufficient space. i have it formatted in a sngle fat32 partition. any help would be greatly appreciated.
