want to get back into the PS2 fat again help hdd playback

well i am new to the whole playing games from the ps2 HDD
i understand this is what i need a ps2 fat system, a network adapter, and a ide HDD
I also have to rip the games to .iso files in order to play.

Please school me on the whole process of doing this.

first i suggest you install FMCB in order to do that you should have a way to play backups or Homebrew for more info please visit FMCB Official Thread

Then check out OPL

ebay, brother i got a whole ps2 for 40.00 bucks with the net work adapter included.

i just went to my local gamestop and i had to ask but the had lots of the network adapters and they were only $6
