V12 hd connect have to have flip top open

anyone ever have this problem with hd connect. with the lid closed i can boot hd loaded and see all my games but when i select on the screen just stays black but if i have the lid open whn i select a game it boots fine then i can close the lid after the game starts. I thought it could be a problem with my hd loader these are the patches i used

in the reedme is says

ON V9 AND LATER MODELS USE THIS ONLY IF YOU'RE BOOTING FROM A DISC OR YOU'RE USING THE PSONE EXPLOIT!!!

for the /s patch could this cause my problem because i sometiimes have to use the same memory card to exploit some fat ps2's

just for anyone intrested the /s was ma problem i made a new elf
