the hdd once installed to your ps2 requires swapping disk? am i correct to say that? this is all new to me. i thought once you downloaded your game to the hdd it loads right up afterwards with some sort of bootup disk.
you need a way of booting the hdloader app when you turn your ps2 on to play a game (after it has been installed on to the hdd).
if you have THE hdloader cd, all you need is that in your ps2.
if you have installed the memory card version of hdloader, you'll need an original ps1 game.
so what version of install is better the memory card or the hdloader disk? and if i use the disk or ps1 game to load the app. do i take the disk out out the ps2 when the game is loaded?
If you have the official store-bought HDLoader, then you can use that to boot, then just choose your game, or install a game, and play.
If you have one of the many downloaded "cracked" versions, I suggest find thing the 698kb hdloader.elf file and placing that on your MC, and configuring the exploit to boot ps2menu. From ps2menu, you can boot the hdloader.elf, and then your games.
ok i see but is it worth doing the hdloader thing compared to the modchip?
your laser will last longer...guarenteed. also, games load much faster.
i will invest into it then.
