Using a usb stick for the memory card expolit.

Would it be possible to use the a usb stick and not a memory card for the ps2 memory card expolit.

no, it wount boot up from the usb stick.
you can install the exploit on your mc with ulaunchelf and then start some elf files from
your usb stick, but many programs need also their config files on the mc.
so if you want to save space on it, you have to check out first which part
of the software needs to be on your memory card.

You cannot run the standard "exploit" from usb stick. However, I do believe you can execute homebrew using codebreaker and usb stick. So this would accomplish the same thing as the exploit but you boot from usb rather than mem card.

you also could use AR MAX EVO to start something from the usb stick.

I think the original poster is asking if it is possible to run the typical independance-day MC exploit off of a standard USB flash-drive. The answer to that is no, you will need to use the standard MC method, a mod-chip, or one of the above methods which requires AR MAX EVO or code breaker 2. As soon as you have the exploit running then it will be possible to run homebrew off of a USB drive.

if you have ulaunchelf on your memory card to boot from a ps1 disk you can then set it to load hdl, emulators, and cb9.2 from a usb stick thjat is exactly how I have it

Yes but he needs a means of getting the exploit (uLe etc) running in the first place before he can do anything which requires the MC method or the other 2 that require extra stuff.
