upgrading from 40gig to 80 gig hdd

hi i want to upgrade from a 40 to an 80 gig hdd... can i do it with winhiip? i tried it once before with a WD 80G hdd and it said it worked but the ps2 wouldnt recognise the disk. i now have a seagate 80g and it is seen by the ps2... should i do a copy disk in winhiip or do it file by file?? also is it possible to use an image to convert to hdd via winhiip? i have a couple of nero images of ps2 games i want to put on the hdd... they are not pirate copies but backups of my own disks.....

just copy the whole drive or one by one..it's all up to..

cheers. i managed to work it out.... did it image by image .. works fine...
no if only madagascar would work my son would leave me alone for a few minutes :-))
