Updating HDLoader with latest 'fixes'
Updating HDLoader with latest 'fixes' –
Just wondering if someone can help me out here... I've currently got HDLoader installed (with only one game on the HDD - it's a small HDD ), but because it's an older version, I'm wanting to patch the HDLoader .elf file and 'update' it so that it has all the latest fixes (ie - date/time stamp fix).
If I go about patching my old version with the latest 'fixes', deleting the old one on my memory card, and then copy the new 'patched' version of HDLoader onto the memory card, will I have to re-install the game that I already have on the HDD to take advantage of the 'fixes'? Does it only patch the games during installation? Or does it patch it 'on-the-fly' when playing the game?
Do't know for sure, but I'd say that the date/time stamp fix will function with already installed games.
Thanks for the input SHadoph. It'd be nice if I didn't have to re-install the game to take advantage of the extra patches.
No, you can patch the hdloader .elf on your memcard and it won't effect the games on hdd, just like when you inject images for your background, etc...
