Trouble playing games via HDadvance 2.0

Hello,

I am a little green so please be forgiving

System info:

V5/6
IBM Deskstar 20GB
I boot HDadvance via Gameshark V2

Ok here is the issue:

I have formatted the HDD and loaded 2 images(GTA:III,Test Drive) via a burned HDadvance 2.0 without any obvious issues but when I try to play the games all I get is a black screen and a spinning disk that requires me to hard reset the PS2 by holding down the reset button.....Anyone know what the issue is?
My first thought is that the problem is caused by the burned HDadvance...?

It could be the burned hdadvance... but I think it may be cause ur booting off gameshark... memory address conflicts. Check http://ps2drives.x-pec.com/ to make sure your drive is compatiable... also, try those games with mode 3...

Too small HDD?

My advice is use the gameshark or HDA to install the memory card exploit (Google) with HDLoader. I bought a retail HDA and it is nothing compared to HDLoader.
