Transferring and format problem
Transferring and format problem –
Hey all I've searched the forum and tried fixing this problem myself but i just can't get it to work properly.
I am able to transfer games into my HD from PC using Winhiip just fine. When I put back into the Ps2, it normally works great. The problem is when I remove from the ps2 and put back into my PC to add more games, winhiip will normally say something like correctable checksum errors and tell me to fix. I have tried both fixing and not fixing at all. After i add my additional games and such, I put back into the ps2 and load up HD Loader. HD Loader THEN TELLS ME I NEED TO REFORMAT. Thus everytime i add more games through my PC and winhiip, HD loaders makes me reformat when put back into ps2. This problem is very frustrating and I dunno the source of error. Please let me know what I should do about this.
PS: I also have tried using HDL_Dumb and such but those programs never are able to seem to detect the HD unless i format it with WinHiip first. I just use winhiip because it detects the HD whereas the other progs don't.
You have some software installed on your PC which is writing to the drive when Windows starts up. In the past Norton Virus & Norton Utilities have been known to cause this problem, also some of the drive imaging software as well.
