transfering HD to save iso

im tied of removing my HD to put in my pc to load ps2 iso's.... i have legal copies of my already owned -ps2 games. but is there away to patch the backups sp that HDloader will save them?

i searched forum... no luck so far. and info will be appreciate..... ive heard u can network ps2 and pc to transfer games, but is there away t patch them?>

Networking is an option, but when you say patching a game do you mean so games that do not work with hdloader will work?

as of now games that simply dont work remain like that. there are no patches of any kinf to increase compatibility.

ok, if i network it.... is it easy to transfer ISO's? or is its easyier to add games buy just hookin the HD to yoru pc?

which do u perfer and how to i get on the track to doing that...i recenly gt HDloader working so i wanna be able to back up my backups to the HD

I'm not even sure what you asked in your first post EspI. Are you asking how do you get HD Loader to install backups directly? On an unmoddoed PS2, you can't. But I see you have a Messiah 2 chipped PS2 as well, and on that one you can I believe (I have a fliptop so not sure about chipped PS2s). This question has been answered several times in this forum, so please try to use search for the answers. Anyway...

Yes it is easy to transfer ISOs, and if you can get the PS2 networked properly, the hard work is already done. Transfering ISOs back and forth over a network is very easy but notably slower than hooking the HD directly to the PC (about 45 minutes for a 1GB ISO versus a couple minutes). I prefer doing it over the network (my PS2 is always networked because I like playing with the homebrew ELF applications available). I think a user on this forum named monkey has a site that has a pretty in depth tutorial on how to go about doing that.

that tutorial uses Faplink for transfering games... which is great, but I have run into a game that didnt transfer with it... I used PS2 HD Utility 1.8 for that game and it worked fine (requires the hd dump server running on the ps2, not the faplink server)....

so I suggest having a backup method, know how to use both transfer tools.

dude , i think i got HD loader to save a backup off the dvd-r....its doing it. tony hawk underground. 804kb/sec 4 GB total. hopefully it works after it saves. this would rock!!!!!

insofar as I'm aware, there is no way to tranfer iso's from the ps2 hdd, while in the ps2, ftp, you can only download from the pc to the ps2 hdd that way, but today I recieved an adaptor kit I bought on ebay for $20 that includes a 40 pin IDE to USB adaptor (with IDE to LAPTOP adaptor, too..use for laptop/notebook hdd) and a 110vac to HDD 5v with the drive plug to power it. Does'nt work as ps2-usb drive, but works with all the pc ps2-hdd transferware, winhiip, hdlgui, ect. it can "hot swap", too.
