hi, i want to play movies from my hdd, and i know that MediaplayerPRO can do that.

but the problem is, how can i tranfer big avi files to a partition on the hdd? i know that ExecFTPs 0.69 is no good.

I also tried to use a USB-device and copy a file from the device to the hdd with launchELF, but no good. the program stopped and i had to restart.

so, what is the best way to transfer files from pc to ps2hdd? im talking about files that are up to 1gb big. and its avi files so i cant use programs winhiip

It can take a long time to transfer files that size over a USB 1 connection. I've transferred files that size with Launchelf or uLaunchelf. I recommend that you walk away then come back later.

imo the best way to do that is burn a dvd-rw with movies you want and then use 'hdd dump' program. Belive me - it's the fastest way to do that.

ExecFTPs is good for small files only, it often crashes - huge pain in the a$$ if you want upload files like over 100mb.

I wish there could be some stable filebrowser for ps2, that will allow to manage files/dirs, dump files from cd, make/del/resize partitions etc. Tool all-in-one like that would be a gift from heaven :s. But well - i still can dream ;bb.
