10-02-2006,11:14 PM
A few questions
I?m currently using toxic os on my v7 ps2. my question is what are the advantages of using toxic os vs HDloader is it possible to have both of them installed that way I can switch between both app. If yes how would I go about installing it ?

Well since Toxis is installed to the flash memory on the DMS4 pro, you can't really switch between the two as such. But you can run HDL from the Browser in ToxicOS v.41
As for HDL, I'm not overly sure on this one, and certainly don't want to upset anyone with any of the following comments.
From what "I" understand HDL was playing catchup to Toxic, so that HDL could have the same/similar compatibility to that of TOS, but I could be wrong.
There are a few things HDL has over TOS that I like, like the increased list display etc, but functionality, I'm not sure.

HDL patched = Free
Huge advances WITHOUT source info increasing compatibility some which has it seems been put into toxic
Toxic = Paid
Small advances though WITH source HDL info therefore easy to make newer games compatible
both seem to be less updated recently though no major reason too unless you like scarface

there're some games that work with ToxicOS but don't with HDL (like Jak X)
SCPH-39004 (V7) PAL | Ripper 3.1 (MI clone) | NA | 40GB 7200 rpm, 2 MB, Samsung | dev.1
ulELF |
HDL 0.8b,
HDL_Dump +
GUI,

Xbox 360 | 3x Sega Saturn Model 2 | Nintendo64 | Sega Dreamcast
