Totally confused with HDconnect and slim PSTwo

Sorry for asking such newbie questions but while searching its hard to find answers to these questions. I am going to purchase a brand new slim PSTWO and I wish to install HD Connect kit on it. I have a copy of the original HDLOADER (back when only divineo sold it). Will this disc work with the PSTWO and HDconnect. I also want to chip this console and I was wondering what modchip you guys recommend? I need something that will not interfere with the HD connect install. Are there any simple to install modchips that can run programs off of a memory card like demos from the demo scene? Mostly i only need a chip tha can direct boot CD-R and DVD-r\DVD+r backups. Also which type of media works better on the slim PSTwo dvd-r or DVD+r?

dont take it personally.....not im not sure but....i dont think theres a lot of people with pstwos and as for this hdconnect kit i havent even heard of it. I hear mostly about the hdcombo.

HDConnect will only work on Ver12 PSTwo's.
Most new consoles on the market right now are Ver14, with some 13's.
Unless it's a model SCPH-70xxx, it's not a Ver12.
