Is there a guide for patching hdloader?

I'm about to get a hdd and was curious, I've read on here about hte patches but I didn't see instructions in the readme's or anywhere. Could someone point me toward a guide on doing this or tell me how?

bump....am also looking for information on this....i need to fix my hd loader with a timestamp fix. is there an easy way?

you should use an uncompressed elf and hdlpatcher by zerox (there is all in the readme included) else you can use one of the frontend/gui
