To use a gameshark, you would need to maybe purchase one on a proper CD (I know. You haven't had to do THAT for a while), coz with existing gamesharks, you put in the GS CD, then apply all your cheats, THEN insert the game CD. Pretty hard to swap CDs using a HDD. Maybe a memory card cheater would be good, or if someone would be kind enough to develop a HDD-Only GS machine![]()
Not so likely to happen. As I understand it, HDLoader runs in the same address space that the GS code would try to execute from. Can't do that, they'll interfere.
Wait a minute. Just looking around on the net, I found this tutorial (I assume it works):

well, I bought the gs broadband a while back, and now I try to swap it, but the cheat still doesn't work. Is there another way? another device i could use?
I tried the first method, it seem to read my original hdloader after i insert the disc. It just do nothing after the dialog "Reading Disc".

Gameshark2 V4.1 works with HDD games.
Insert GS CD, choose cheats, insert HDloader/HDadvance instead if game CD, go to game on the HDD and your done.
Ive tested GS2 v2/v3 and dont work.
Sucks cus all my good codes are on V2.
How do I know what version of GS i have. I just bought it but i don't know what version. It's the broadband enabled one? how can i know?
Just use CodeBreaker. Any version above 7 is fine. I'm using CodeBreaker v8 right now. Just stick in the CodeBreaker disc (you can get one from some program that has mule in its name..haha) and then stick in the HD Loader disc and then boom, you're invincible or whatever code you selected.
