im just trying to get the hdld_srv.elf to run right. but it seems to require your ipconfig.dat to be in the SYS-CONF.

    in ps2menu-k v3.1 i have tried to...

copy it from mc to hdd
copy it back from hdd to mc...no luck.

how do i get this dang file into that directory.
maybe i dont understand ps2menu...but the top of the browser you got
source...and below the file browser it says copy to... how do i change that
    bottom part to mc0:??

im running ps2link 2.4 right now, i need to do the same thing with PS2NETFS.IRX but until i figure out the basic (BASIC) file handling im sol.

    any help is appreciated.

You could always upload the Execftp ELF to your PS2 with PS2Link and then connect to your PS2 by FTP and just move the ipconfig.dat to the right directory.

you browse to whatever folder you want to copy to, then hihglight the " .. " at the top of the folder view, and hit the triangle button. The bottom of the screen will say, "copy to mc0:BADATA-SYSTEM/" or whatever folder you want to copy to. then you go to the file you want to copy, then hit triangle again. Yes triangle again, no it wont change the copy to folder. then your file should be in the folder you specified. Not everyone uses FTP to transfer, but there are other ways.
