  1. #1 Swap Magic -> HDLoader ?
    )( T )( Guest
    New to modding and didn't see it in any of the stickies. What I'm trying to do is follow KillerSpaz's tutorial on a PS2 (slim version). He recommends having a modchip. I'm wondering if i can use Swap Magic instead to boot HDLoader and get it on the HDD...?
    Also, once I get HDLoader on the HDD does that make the PS2 boot directly to a menu kind of like the Xbox does?

    Please help me out and set me straight if I'm talkin out of my ass.

    thanks,
    T

    the guide killerspaz did can be used with both a modchip or even a completely unmodded ps2 providing you HAVE hdloader already. if you have a swap magic set then it shouldnt be a problem. just find a way to boot up execftps and make sure you can connect between ps2 and pc and youre set.

    slim ps2 doesnt have hd built-in..

    You actually didn't say that the PStwo has a built-in HDD, but this looks like you assumed you can at least have one. Sorry for being a smartass, but I couldn't resist!
