Stuttering audio with NTSC games.
Stuttering audio with NTSC games. –
I have a problem with hdloader 0.7c on my PAL ps2.
Whenever i play NTSC games and there is a cut-scenes (either with ingame graphics or with fmv) the audio moves a bit faster than the image and this causes it to stutter alot. One theory I have is that maybe because the image runs at 25fps but the audio still runs at NTSC speed it causes it too bee all out of sync and this causes stuttering(?). In normal gameplay the audio is fine though, it's only in cut-scenes, which is pretty annoying when playing rpg's or other games with lots of cut-scenes.
I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem or if anyone know how to fix it? Will using a ntsc2pal patcher on the iso file fix it?
Thanks for any answers.
Edit: Had to clean up my bad english
maybe the hd is heavily fragmented.

Unlikely, it happends with all the NTSC games and none of the PAL games, load times are also very short on all games it's just that the audio is a bit screwed up in cut-scenes and fmv movies.
Thanks for the reply though.

Does your TV support both NTSC and PAL frequences? If you are just patching the NTSC games, then that is the problem as movies can't be converted with just a patch. They will still be playing at NTSC speed on PAL frequences.
I've had this problem when I patched a PAL version of Siren. Movies would be out of sync and flicker, but the game ran fine.
Thanks for the replies.
I'm not sure if my TV supports NTSC signals, I get black and white if I try to play NTSC games without swap magic PAL "convertion", but I do use the original ps2 cables, a friend of me had to use a special cable to get colors on his setup. Guess I'll just test around a bit, I discovered the audio was fine when playing in black and white, but that's no good
Edit: No, i just searched on google for a spec sheet on my tv and it only supports PAL and SECAM. So I guess there is no way for me to play with colors and without the sound stuttering?
