Strange problem with Hdl_dump

yo i have a little problem here...i've been using hdl_dump 0.8.1 (yeah i know outdated) but i cant seem to connect my ps2 with the newer versions the thing is that i have 2 network cards one for internet and one for the ps2 but everytime i wanna transfer a game to the ps2 i have to turn off the other card that uses internet in order to connect or else it wont find the ps2 and this works with hdl_dump 0.8.1 but not with the others cus the ip keeps reseting with 0.8.5

When you're using hdl_dump 0.8.5, are you also using hdld_svr.elf 0.8.5 on the PS2?

There have been several changes to the protocol lately, so each of those versions of HDL_Dump will only work well with the server from the same version. They need to 'speak' the same dialect of the protocol, in order to communicate well.

The problem with your IP addresses is something else, and I think you need to fix that by reconfiguring stuff on your PC. When done properly you should be able to control what IP each interface card gets, without having to turn either of them off. I have two interface cards in my main PC myself, and previously used one of them for the PS2 and the other for connecting to my router and on to internet, never turning either off.

Lately I prefer to connect both the PS2 and my PCs to the router though, so that all of them can reach each other as well as the internet, again without ever turning anything off or switching anything around. It's all a matter of proper configuration.
