you have to mod the na to fit it i dont know how but it can be found searching here probabley
Some brands of HDD (western digital being one of them) will require you to modify your network adapter to fit it properly. that's if you're tlaking about the connections being too close.
If you're talking about the size of the hard drive being too small for the ps2 slot, then just like use some pieces of paper or plastic or something to make it snug.
if its too big then you can remove the face plate off the hdd although id recommend you just external mod it then.
No, I guess I didn't exaplin well enough. The HDD fits into the deignated port thing, the IDE ports and power ports don't line up. If I had some tourque wrenches I could tske the networs adapters IDE port off, and move it to fit, couldn't I?

You need a mini screwdriver and a another larger screwdriver. They need to have a phillips head. Maxtors dont need that. I hope this helps.
I had to mod my network adapter to connect to my western digital 120gb. First you remove that metal plate on the network adapter and then remove the torx screws from the power connecter part only. On the metal backing that you removed, cut off the piece to the side of the power connecter towards the edge with the screw hole in it, you will be losing the screw-hole but the other screws keep it on there good enough. After that make sure you can slide over the power connecter far enough to fit the drive. The size torx wrench you will need is T6, I tried many other tools that fit in pretty nice but still had no luck.
Thanks vtecorona, that's is what I thought would be the best solution. Thank you for the size of the bit I need, that will really help. Thank you all.
Capre Diem,
Michael S.
I was able to use a very small flathead to unscrew the torx screws
Do you need to modify all PC hard disk to use it on the PS2? I thought Maxtor hard disk will fit in without any modification.
